Dr. Carsten Rahlfs is Managing Partner at Waterland and leading the office in Hamburg.

Before joining Waterland, Dr. Rahlfs was Managing Director of the French consumer goods manufacturer Staub Group, and was responsible for Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain Management. As Head of Corporate Development at Zwilling J.A. Henckels AG he was responsible for the acquisitions of Staub Group and Demeyere N.V. (Belgium). Before that he worked for Tchibo GmbH in Hamburg. Dr. Rahlfs started his career as Top-Management-Consultant with McKinsey & Company in Hamburg where he worked mainly in the consumer goods sector.

He obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration and received a Ph.D. (Dr. rer. pol.) in Finance Theory and Strategic Management, both at the University of Lüneburg, Germany.
