Dr. Gregor Hengst ist Partner bei Waterland in München, Deutschland. Bevor er zu Waterland kam, war er Vice President bei Vestar Capital Partners, einem US-amerikanischem Investmentfonds. Mit Management-Teams aus verschiedenen Unternehmen identifizierte er Wachstumsmöglichkeiten und begleitete deren Umsetzung. Davor arbeitete Gregor als Engagement Manager bei McKinsey & Company in München und führte Teams im Finanz- und Konsumgüterbereich. Er unterstützte Klienten bei Produkteinführungen, Wachstumsstrategien und Transaktionen in Europa, Südafrika und im Nahen Osten. Vor seiner Zeit bei McKinsey & Company arbeitete Gregor für die internationale Anwaltskanzlei Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in München und die Commerzbank in Köln. Gregor promovierte in Rechtswissenschaften (summa cum laude) an der Universität Köln, Deutschland.
